- VGC - left winger or left back - Wilf was born in Sunderland but his career started at Arsenal in 1974 and after a while there moved back up north to his home town - it was from there that Watford signed him in 1979, more as a left winger then but he moved back to full back and took over the club captaincy. Played 317 league games for the Hornets, and scored 22 goals.
