- VGC - Ray Haywood, scorer of 50 goals for Stourbridge in 1973/4 when they were Southern League North champions, and then moved to Shrewsbury along with Chic Bates. Ray had about 3 years at Gay Meadow (27 goals in 87 games) before a move to Northampton, but Chic spent almost the rest of his career there.
