Very good for age - creased corner & piece missing from same corner. This is a match between the employees of Barclays Bank, and a team of Belgian war refugees who called themselves "Les Diables Rouges" - the Red Devils. The game was played at the Bank's ground at Norbury on 5th October 1940. The Diables' kit was supplied by the F.A. The Bank are in the shirts with hooped facings (possibly blue). I can only assume the Diables are in red with black shoulders & shorts.

In the photo, the Bank's keeper dashes to save from a rush by the Diables' forwards.

As a special offer, if anyone related to any of the participants in this 80+ year old action photo wants to buy it, I will deduct 50% from my asking price. And please don't try it on!
