VGC - sl mks & sl crse - up goes Boro keeper Million to deal with a cross under pressure from Hickson with Hunt lurking menacingly. McNeil, Yeoman and Thomson are on hand. Game was drawn 3-3.

Bit of a back story to this one. Esmond Million, keeper here, was one of the players convicted of match-fixing in 1964, when at Bristol Rovers, and duly banned for life. Now there's no evidence that he was involved in any such shenanigans at the time of this match in 1960, but far right here is Ken Thomson who was also banned for match-fixing in the 1964 scandal. Just makes you wonder how long it had been going on for and if this pair had any priors. One day, we might just find out.

Very sadly, Ken died of a heart attack in 1969, aged just 39.
